Delete Your Account
Last updated: September 10, 2026
You can delete your PocketChomp account and everything synced to it in about ten seconds from inside the app. If you no longer have the app, email us and we will do it for you.
Delete in the app
- Open PocketChomp and go to the More tab.
- Open Profile.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm twice.
Deletion runs immediately. Your account, your synced data and the local copy on that phone are removed together.
PocketChomp+ subscribers: deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Google Play will keep billing you until you cancel it there. The app offers to open Google Play Subscriptions before it deletes anything, or you can go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
Delete by email
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email josh@pocketchomp.com with the subject "Delete my PocketChomp account". Send it from the email address on the account, or from the Google account you used to sign in, so we can confirm it is you. We will delete the account and reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
Everything tied to your account on our servers, immediately:
- your sign-in identity (email or Google) and profile details such as sex, date of birth, height, weight, activity level and goals;
- your food diary, plates and logged foods;
- custom foods, recipes and favourites;
- weight and water history, nutrition goals and targets;
- the Health Connect activity summary, if you had connected it;
- your PocketChomp+ entitlement record, including the matching customer record at our billing provider, RevenueCat.
What is not affected
- Google Play purchase and subscription records. Google holds these. Cancel the subscription in Google Play and manage its records through your Google account.
- Anonymous crash and analytics events. These are tied to a random device id, not to your account, so they cannot be linked back to you after deletion. Turning off "Share usage analytics" in Settings stops usage events at any time.
- Local data on other devices. If you used PocketChomp on more than one phone, the local copy on each remains until you uninstall the app or clear its data there.
- The beta email list. It is separate from your account. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or ask us to remove you.
Guest mode
If you never signed in, there is no account and nothing on our servers. Uninstalling the app, or choosing Delete All Data in the More tab, removes everything.
Delete some of your data, without deleting your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove something. Everything below works from inside the app, takes effect immediately, and syncs the deletion to our servers if you are signed in.
- A single food entry. Open the entry in your diary and delete it, or select several and delete them together.
- A weight or water entry. Open Profile and delete the individual entry from the list.
- A custom food, recipe or favourite. Open it from My Foods or Recipes and delete it.
- Usage analytics. Turn off Share usage analytics in More › Privacy & Data. Collection stops immediately, and your name and email are removed from our billing provider.
- Health Connect data. Revoke access in Android settings or in Health Connect. Deleting your account also removes the synced activity summary.
- Everything on this device, as a guest. If you never signed in, choose Delete All Data in the More tab.
Nothing here is kept in a backup after deletion. If you would rather we did it for you, email josh@pocketchomp.com and tell us what to remove. We will action it and reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Want a copy first?
Export your food log as a CSV with Export Data in the More tab before you delete. Deletion cannot be undone and we keep no backups of deleted accounts.
